The Yellow Pimpernel is a small, perennial wildflower and is part of the Primulaceae family, which also includes primroses and cowslips. Yellow Pimpernel is not as widely known as the Scarlet Pimpernel (Anagallis arvensis).
This wildflower is a relatively low-growing plant. Typically, it reaches a height of about 10 to 25 centimeters, its modest size contributes to it being commonly found in damp, shady environments such as woodlands and river banks, it struggles in dry, open sunny sites.
